Are you a farm girl/boy at heart? Are you curious about what it’s like to hold a warm, fuzzy chicken or what pigskin feels like? All of our animals need love and attention and they will return the favor! Or….
Do you have a desire to work with youth who need special support? Are you a good listener? Do you wish to share a horse experience with young people? Or….
Are you an organizer or event planner? Look below for the volunteer position that suits you the best! We would love for you to be a part of our Hooves with Heart herd!
Note: If you are interested in volunteering in any number of ways listed below, please read the volunteer requirements and complete the applications listed below. Volunteers must be 15 years or older and minors must have a parent’s or guardian’s signature on the volunteer forms.
Program Horse Handler: Support our special programs by handling the horses, guiding the young participants, assisting with art and other special projects.
Internships: Summer College Internships. Hooves with Heart is an equine facilitated learning program. Students train experientially in Hooves with Heart’s EFL process work and gain excellent preparedness for competency certification.
Horse Groomer/Walker/Caregiver: Monday –Sunday from 8AM to 12PM.
Sunday Docent: Sundays from 10:00 am to 2:00pm guide tours of our farm and interact with guests and animals.
Barn Hand: Clean the farmyard, care for the organic garden, fill water buckets, and help with all around projects.
Please begin by reading the Volunteer Requirements. If you are comfortable with the commitment, then complete the Volunteer Application and either email or fax the documents to Hooves with Heart at 425-949-8548. Details are found on the forms.
Once we have reviewed the paperwork, we will give you a call and let you know if we found a good fit.
